    Description
    This Moodle 101 module will acquaint you with the basics of Moodle 3.5, UM Westerns's Learning Management System. It is designed to be completed at your own pace. 

    Estimated time to complete: 4 hours.
      • Navigate the Moodle 101 resources.
      • Earn a digital badge for completing the resource (if desired).

      • Identify and navigate among the different parts of the Moodle interface.
      • Add the Quickmail block.
      • Add activities and resources to your Moodle course.
      • Use the text editor to add and style text, as well as add images, videos, and hyperlinks.
      • Upload files and media to Moodle.
      • Add and configure an assignment using the Assignment tool in Moodle.
      • Grade an assignment using the Assignment tool in Moodle.
      • Add and properly configure a discussion forum in your Moodle course.
      • Grade student discussions in Moodle.
      • This is a short module offers strategies for designing engaging online discussions. 
      • Add and configure a quiz in Moodle.
      • Create a question bank of quiz questions.
      • Review and grade students' quiz attempts.
      • Set up your Moodle gradebook by creating grade items and categories and choosing the appropriate grade aggregation method.
      • Enter grades via assessment activities, by using the open grader, and by directly entering scores into the grader report. 
      • Contact the appropriate person for technical support.
